Heel & Foot Pain Relief in Capac, MI
First steps in the morning should not hurt
Plantar fasciitis, heel pain, and sore, tired feet, treated at the foot and all the way up the chain.
That first-step pain
The classic one is plantar fasciitis: a sharp, stabbing pain in the bottom of the heel that is worst with the first few steps out of bed or after you have been sitting a while. The band of tissue along the bottom of your foot gets overloaded and irritated, and it does not let go on its own.
Feet take a beating out here, standing on concrete, climbing in and out of equipment, walking fields and shop floors all day. Heel and foot pain is common, and it is stubborn, but it responds well to the right care.
Why the foot is only half the story
Your feet are the foundation. When an ankle or foot joint stops moving right, the trouble travels up: it changes how you walk and loads the knees, hips, and low back. That is why Dr. Todd looks at the whole chain, not just where it hurts.
How Dr. Todd treats it
- Extremity adjusting. Restoring motion in the small joints of the foot and ankle, by hand or with gentle instrument adjusting.
- Soft tissue work. Certified Graston Technique and vibration therapy to free up the tight plantar fascia and calf muscles that feed the problem.
- Pain-relieving therapies. Ultrasound, cold laser, and electrotherapy to calm the inflammation in the heel.
Simple changes at home, a stretch or two and better footwear, often make the fix hold. Dr. Todd will show you what actually helps.
