Neck Pain Relief in Capac, MI
Stiff neck? Walk in and turn your head again
Cricks, pinched nerves, and that tension that creeps up into your head, worked in the same day.
Where neck pain comes from
Sometimes it is obvious: you slept wrong, spent the day looking down at a phone or a workbench, or snapped your head in a fender-bender. Sometimes you just wake up and cannot check your blind spot without turning your whole body.
Underneath, it is usually the same story as the low back. A joint in the neck stops moving right, the muscles clamp down to protect it, and a nerve gets irritated. That is what sends pain into the shoulders and base of the skull, and what turns into a tension headache by the end of the day.
What Dr. Todd does about it
First an honest exam, with on-site digital x-ray only if it is actually needed. Then treatment, usually the same visit:
- Gentle adjusting. Hands-on or computer-assisted instrument adjusting to get the neck moving again, with no forced twisting if you would rather avoid it.
- Soft tissue work. Certified Graston Technique and targeted vibration therapy to release the tight, guarded muscles along the neck and shoulders.
- Pain-relieving therapies. Electrotherapy, ultrasound, red light, and cold laser to calm the pain and speed healing.
Do not power through it
Most neck pain eases up quickly once the joint is moving again, and many people feel looser walking out of the first visit. Straight talk, though: neck pain with numbness or weakness running down an arm, or pain after a real car crash or hard fall, needs a proper exam right away. Walk in, and Dr. Todd will sort out what you are dealing with.
