Soft Tissue & Graston Therapy in Capac, MI
For the knots an adjustment cannot reach
Certified Graston Technique and targeted vibration therapy for scar tissue, chronic tightness, and stubborn muscle and tendon trouble.
When the muscle is the problem
Sometimes the joint moves fine but the soft tissue around it, the muscles, tendons, and fascia, is bound up with old scar tissue and adhesions. That is what leaves a muscle chronically tight, a tendon sore for months, or an old injury that never quite loosened up. Adjusting gets the joint moving; soft tissue work handles the rest.
Certified Graston Technique
Graston is an instrument-assisted soft tissue technique. Dr. Todd is certified in it. He uses specially designed stainless steel instruments to find and work through the areas of scar tissue and restriction, breaking them up so the tissue can heal and glide the way it should.
It works well on the spine and out in the extremities: tight calves and plantar fascia, cranky forearms and elbows, stiff shoulders, and the chronic low back and neck tightness that keeps coming back.
Targeted vibration therapy
Paired with the Graston work, targeted vibration therapy helps relax the muscle, increase blood flow, and calm the area down, so the treatment is more comfortable and the tissue recovers faster.
What it feels like
You may feel some tenderness during and a little the next day, the same way a good deep massage can. Most people are surprised how much looser the area feels afterward. Dr. Todd works to your tolerance, not past it.
